With over 120 miles of groomed runs, the Methow Valley has the largest cross-country ski trail system in North America. There are three distinct clusters of trails—Sun Mountain, Rendevous, and Mazama—connected by the Community Trail with ski huts you can reserve along the way.
In addition to the Rendevous Huts, the Rolling Huts in Mazama are a great place to stay. The Mazama Trails are close, and Sun Mountain Lodge is at the other end of the valley. Ski lessons are available from the Methow Valley Ski School, located at Sun Mountain Lodge, in Winthrop, and at the Mazama Junction. If you rent equipment from one location, you can return it to another location.

Directions
During the winter months, North Cascades Highway 20 is closed, and the Methow Valley is only accessible from the southeast via WA-153 from Pateros. From Seattle, check the mountain pass reports for US-Hwy 2 or I-90 to reach Pateros. Avoid driving in the area at night—there are a lot of deer in the area.
