Alpental is the most challenging of the four ski areas at the Snoqualmie Ski Resort, an hour drive east of Seattle, but it also has the best summit views. Most of the mountain is black-diamond terrain, but there are a few blue runs and a short green trail. For eating, there's a small lodge here with pizza and a grill. Getting a lift pass here also gives you access to Snoqualmie Summit West, Central, and East mountains.
