Norway · August - September 2019
With its sharp-peaked mountains, turquoise waters, and white sand beaches, Lofoten is one of the most beautiful parts of Norway I have visited.
It's located in the county of Nordland and entirely within the Arctic Ocean, making it one of the northern-most populated areas.

Manshausen Island
Manshausen is a fifty-five acre island resort accessible by a private passenger ferry from the tiny village of Nordskot.
There are only 5 seacabins for rent, and breakfast and dinner is available by reservation.
Sea kayaks are offered for rent so you can explore some of the other small islands nearby.
This is an incredibly serene location east of the Lofoten Archipelago, across Vestfjorden.
It's a two hour drive from the Skutvik ferry terminal to the north or three and a half hours from Bødo to the south.
For more information and booking, visit the Manshausen website.
Directions
Widerøe Airlines operates direct flights from Oslo to Leknes.
You can also take a ferry from Bodø to Moskenes at the southwest end of Lofoten or an express boat from Bodø to Svolvær at the northeast end.
For more information and recommendations, visit the Lofoten website.
